01

Shell & lining

Describe the desired drape, texture and use. Specify shell and lining separately, including weight and finish. The combination affects movement, bulk and how the jacket hangs.

02

Closures & construction

Define zipper gauge, puller, facing, pocket entry, hood adjustment and hem finish. Review stress points and hardware placement in a wearable sample rather than only a flat drawing.

03

Performance requirements

Water resistance, waterproofness and breathability are different requirements. If any claim is needed, agree the relevant material, construction and test evidence before making it part of the product specification.

Jackets & Outerwear / Buyer questions

Before you send
your brief.

Start with the garment, quantity and target market. Mark any details that still need development.

Can I request a waterproof jacket?
Include the intended conditions and required performance standard in the brief. Waterproof fabric alone does not establish that a finished garment is waterproof; seams, closures and construction also need review. Feasibility and testing are confirmed for the project.
What information is needed to quote a jacket?
Provide shell and lining direction, reference drawings, closures and pocket details, size range, quantities by color and any performance requirements. These decisions materially affect the sample scope and quotation.
What is the minimum order?
The custom manufacturing minimum is 300 pieces per style, per color. Provide the size breakdown and discuss any multi-piece set components as part of the quotation.
How are price and delivery confirmed?
Pricing depends on the approved material, construction, artwork, quantity and packing requirements. Sample scope, production schedule and delivery are confirmed individually for the order.
